This free QR code generator makes a code for a link, Wi-Fi network, contact card or text, styled with your colors and logo, as PNG or SVG. The codes are static, so they work forever, with no account and no trial.
A QR code generator is a tool that turns a link, text or contact details into a square barcode that phone cameras can scan. QR stands for Quick Response; the format was invented by Denso Wave in 1994 and is standardized as ISO/IEC 18004.
This QR code generator makes static codes. The data is written straight into the pattern of black and white squares, called modules, with no short link or redirect in between. Once downloaded, the image works on its own: no account, no trial and no connection to Ideluma.
To make a QR code, choose the content type, fill in the fields, adjust the design and download the file. The preview redraws as you type, so you can generate a QR code and check it in under a minute.
https://, the tool warns you, because some phones won’t open it as a link.Under the preview, a line such as Version 3 · 29 × 29 modules · error correction M shows how dense the code is.
A static QR code stores the data inside the image and never expires, while a dynamic QR code stores a short link to the provider’s server that can be edited but stops working when the subscription ends.

A static code fits most jobs: a Wi-Fi password, a contact card, a menu or a product page. Every code from this static QR code generator is permanent, because no server sits between the phone and your content.
A dynamic code makes sense only when the destination will change after printing or you need scan counts. Ideluma doesn’t make dynamic codes, but you can get both benefits yourself. Point the code at a page on your own domain and move visitors later with the 301 Redirect Generator. Add UTM tags with the UTM Builder so scans appear in Google Analytics 4.
You can create eight types of QR code here, each in the format that phone cameras read without an extra app.
mailto: link with an optional Subject and Message.tel: link that opens the dialer.SMSTO:number:message.https://wa.me/<number>?text=<message>, with the number in international format, digits only.Choose Wi-Fi, enter the Network name (SSID) and Password, select the Security type and download the code; guests scan it and join without typing anything. The Security list offers WPA / WPA2 / WPA3, WEP and None, and a Hidden network switch covers networks that don’t broadcast their name.
The tool writes the standard Wi-Fi string into the code:
WIFI:T:WPA;S:CafeGuest;P:coffee2026;;
Hidden networks get H:true; before the final semicolon. Special characters in the name or password (\ ; , : ") are escaped with a backslash.
The password is stored in the image as plain text, and anyone who scans the code can read it. Print Wi-Fi codes for a guest network, not for the network your office computers use. The password itself is never sent anywhere: the code is generated in your browser.
A branded code scans reliably when it keeps a dark pattern on a light background, a modest logo and enough error correction. A free QR code generator with logo should check this for you, so this one shows warnings before you download.
Print a QR code at about one tenth of the scanning distance, never smaller than 2 × 2 cm, and use SVG for print and PNG for screens.

These numbers are guidelines, not a standard. A dense code with a long link needs more room, so add a few centimeters or shorten the content. SVG stays sharp at any size; if a print shop asks for a raster QR code for print, send the 4096 px PNG.
Yes. It’s free with no account, no trial, no watermark and no limit on the number of codes. Commercial use is allowed, so you can print the codes on packaging, menus and flyers for your own business or for clients.
No. Every code made here is static: the data lives inside the image and there is no redirect that could be switched off. The code works as long as the print is readable, even if Ideluma closes. A linked page must stay online, of course.
No. A static code can’t be changed once printed, because the content is part of the pattern. If the destination may change, point the code at a page on your own domain and later send visitors elsewhere with a 301 redirect.
Open the form in Google Forms, click Send, choose the link option and copy the link. Here, choose Link, paste it into Website URL and download the code. A shortened form link creates a simpler pattern that scans faster from paper.
Yes. Press Add logo and upload a PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP file. The tool clears the modules under the logo and raises error correction to H. Keep Logo size near the default 22% and test the scan before printing.
Make the code at least one tenth of the scanning distance: about 2 × 2 cm on a business card, 3 × 3 cm on a menu and 10 × 10 cm on a poster read from 1–2 meters. Dense codes need more space.
Download SVG for print and PNG for screens. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size. PNG comes in 512, 1024, 2048 or 4096 px for websites, emails and social posts. PDF and EPS export aren’t available.
Scan it from the screen with two or three phones, using the iOS Camera, an Android camera or Google Lens. Check that it opens the right page or network. Then print one copy at final size and scan it again.
Not with a static code, because no server counts the scans. Add UTM tags to the link with the UTM Builder before you make the code, and the visits will appear as a separate traffic source in Google Analytics 4.
It never leaves your browser: nothing you type is sent to Ideluma. Inside the code, though, the password is stored as plain text, and anyone who scans it can read it. Make Wi-Fi codes for a guest network, not your main one.
A single code holds up to 2,953 bytes of text, 4,296 alphanumeric characters or 7,089 digits, at version 40 with error correction L. Less is better: a short link gives a smaller, cleaner pattern that scans faster from paper and screens.
The QR Code Generator is one of the free tools on Ideluma. Tag the link with the UTM Builder to count scans, or keep a printed code flexible with the 301 Redirect Generator.
